— IN THE STUDIO —

I was absolutely floored to receive an invitation to Door County Plein Air Festival in July 2024. It is one of the most exciting plein air events in the country and such an honor to be chosen as one of the artists. I will spend 2 weeks in Door County, Wisconsin, painting outdoors on the “peninsula” of Door County - a place I celebrated my high school reunion with my girlfriends back in… oh, you don’t need to know the year. I am so excited to participate in this competition and show with 40 other incredible artists. The camaraderie is my favorite part of these plein air events.

Currently, I have two paintings accepted in the California Art Club’s “Moonlight Serenade” show at the Old Mill Gallery in San Marino, CA. The show is hanging until mid-May.

Here in Idaho, I am taking advantage of a warm break in our cold winter and painting some winter plein air studies and working on commissions and entering shows. Still studying color theory and other fun stuff in my online mentorship with Skip Whitcomb - nerding out. Life is good.
